Does anyone read this thing?

I got a CD burner for myself. But I still have a W98 400 MHz computer. I'll upgrade someday (sooner than when I upgraded from c64 to Windows). :)

I am still using dialup but thinking about getting broadband. I have to evaluate my system setup and finances, though. Nothing else has changed much other than I've been working days instead of nights.

Summer Update

It's been an average summer here. The valley heated up over the 100 mark for a few days. I went to some CSUN/CSUN Journalism Alumni events. My parents are getting used to their computer. Other than that nothing special. The predicted "big one" (earthquake) was supposed to occur today but it never came.

It's been awhile
Not much has happen within the past two months. I celebrated my birthday on April 23. My hard drive died so I replaced that. The CPU fan was replaced (although it took me awhile to find out the CPU fan was the culprit of the computer crashing (overheating).

You can now chat me online, provided that you have instant messaging software. (The three types come from Yahoo!, MSN and AOL.) I already have my Yahoo messenger sofware installed, so if anytime you want to chat with me, look me up on the Yahoo! messenger service to see if I'm available to chat. My screen name there is timphelps. I also will be available soon on the Microsoft and AOL instant messenger services.

It's been awhile--hard drive broke down and rain
Well, my hard drive died (earlier this month). Just as well as its capacity was kind of small (8 GB). I know have an 80 GB HD installed into my system.

It looks like the return of the heavy storms to the area. We really needed the rain, though. The forecast calls for rain for most of the week.


I am going to take time off at the end of this week and into the beginning of the week after.
