Guys, I'm still looking for people to work Intramurals for me.  I need supervisors for indoor volleyball and sand volleyball.  I also need a few more officials for flag football.  Let me know if you're interested.

Mandatory Meeting
Guys,

Next Monday night at 9pm there will be a MANDATORY meeting for us over in the Science building up on the 2nd floor (Flory Auditorium).  This meeting is to complete the required NCAA paperwork prior to the start of the season.  You need to bring your student ID and a pencil.  If you want, we can meet there or someplace else and go as a group.  I know some may be thinking they're not going to wrestle or are not sure.  Please attend the meeting and complete the paperwork so that's one less thing to deal with if you do decide to come out for the team.

Questions?

Coach welcomes everyone
Hey guys!  I just wanted to write a quick note and say Welcome to Manchester to the new guys and welcome back to the rest of you.  I hope you all had a great summer and are excited about this year.  I am!

New guys, if you have not done so already, please get your Manchester email account up & running.  I will be switching my contact info for you all to MC email addresses.  So, if I have a yahoo.com email for you, I'll be replacing that with your spartans.manchester.edu email.  Please get in the habit of checking you email on a regular basis.

Everyone....

Student Success Workshops:  Many of you have not signed up.  Remember, if you want to wrestle at the Michigan State Open you need to attend all 4 workshops.  Each is 50 minutes long and we have a block of time set aside for Monday & Tuesday afternoons from 3-3:50PM.  Please tell me which time you would prefer.  The workshops start on Monday Sept. 8th

Team Meeting:  We will hopefully be having a team meeting sometime in the near future.  It will likely be in the evening (~8pm)  I'll get you more details soon.

Here are some dates to remember:

Saturday Sept. 13th:  we will be working concessions at the football game to make $$ for the wrestling program.  We need at least 20 guys - 10 the first half & 10 the 2nd half.

Friday & Saturday Sept 19 & 20th:  we will be working the volleyball tournament...keeping score calling lines, etc.  Coaches Marlowe & Clark will be scheduling a brief meeting to talk about responsibilities & duties for this
Also this weekend:  Our first recruit visit of the year.  Kyle Estrada (Avon H.S.) will likely be spending the weekend with us...he will need a host or two

Monday Sept. 29th:  7pm is a mandatory VIA event at Cordier auditorium.  You all need to be there, attendance will be taken

Finally...MAKE GOOD CHOICES!  DO WHAT IS RIGHT...NOT WHAT'S EXPECTED!!!  Make a good first impression on everyone...do something everyday to make yourself a better.

Parking Restrictions
Guys,

Please read the email below regarding parking.  They don't want students parking in the visitor's lot next to the Union.  If you park there, it sounds like you'll get a ticket.

Tami –

As a courtesy to your players, please remind them to park in general parking areas and not park in the South Union parking, Faculty/Staff areas, visitors, handicapped and any other areas where they would receive a ticket.  We just wanted to advise you as a courtesy so their year gets off to a good start.

Please pass this information on to the coaches

Thanks you -

Coach helps to arrange workshops
Guys,

I spoke with Bonnie at the Success Center and she said she would be willing to set up times each week to give the workshops to just us/you. She said 3-3:50 would be a good time for her. So, if I had her schedule us for a 3-3:50 time slot on Mondays & Tuesdays afternoons, would most everyone be able to make that? She can only take 20 students per session...so half would need to go on Monday and half on Tuesday. If you cannot make it one or both of those days at that time, PLEASE email me & let me know. If you don't tell me you can't make it, we won't be able to make other arrangements. Football guys, Coach Griff has something set-up for you already so don't worry about attending the "wrestling" sessions...& obviously you have practice then too!

Later guys!

Falcon tells summer plans
works pretty much over all short hours now I'll be done tommorrow, then I get to spend the rest of my summer getting a tan, running, lifting, wrestling, and planning preseason workouts and let me tell you I got some good ones........

Coach again responds
You sure are yappin’ a lot for someone who has to, and I quote,  “work a 11 hour shift from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. and then work out for two and a half hours on three hours sleep”.  What are you doing the other 7.5 hrs of the day?  Oh yeah, I forgot….the “grizzly bear” wrestling

Falcon shoots back
o' the insults just keep on coming

more corrections follow...
1. Tofu originated in China it didn't arrive into Japan untill the 8th century and it is not fake cheese it is a 'highly nutritious and low in fat and sugar and made form soy beans.' fresh tofu can be eaten as is cold or hot in soups and other dishes or cotton tofu (firmer tofu)are sutable for more main dishes such as tofu steak (not sure how good that would be though) and my personal favorite thai spicy peanut sauce.

2. As a well-educated, highly trained fisheries and wildlife resource manager you would also try to that bigfoot doesn't exist and that tigers aren't living in North Carolina well they do and there are (Monster Quest on the History Channel)....I live in this chiotic environment known as the north country and until you witness a grizzly take down a deer in the mountains right in front of your eyes, which I have ( on youtube) come up here and all I will have to say is in (in the words of the great G&R) 'welcome to the jungle'

3. ok

4. Umm didn't we all get our _ss kicked last year? and that was at 157 I am NOT messing with those big guys again I am going to mess with guys more my size, and no he did not graduate he got hurt

5. No self respecting man would even respond to such accusations, and on a side note I will be on the Maury Povich show August 13 the title of the show is 'I ain't your babies daddy!' I hope you all can tune in....
